Why is it taking so long for the contribution engine to copy files to final destination? Maybe it's this slow all the time, but it seems as other shows I've uploaded in the past were downloadable much faster than this. There's a bunch of shows in the queue, but the shows I'm referring to in particular are these:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=32780
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=32753

Not complaining, just questioning :o)
Thank you,

Chris

I noticed that, too. This show

http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=32754

which I uploaded on Saturday, has been in the "copying" stage for two days now, which seems much longer than normal.

Aloha,
Brad

there is a problem with the engine and the shows have backed up in a log jam. hopefully the engineers can clear it out soon. i'm not sure if they are at work today (MLK day) but hopefully it will be cleared up soon and all the shows will be moved to the public server.

could this be a related problem? I received this message, even after "describing the files" twice.

"ia12132.archive.org [30587]: No metadata describing files found. Waiting for user to enter metadata."

The show isn't listed in my contribution center, so I assumed it was done, but when I go to the show, the status is

What, if anything, do I need to do to correct this?

Aloha,
Brad

Okay, I'm having to take some serious deep breaths....
These shows are now listed to the public, but there appears to be some sort of metadata or XML issue.

Is there an answer to this?

Thanks for any help or solutions.

Chris

We're aware of the issues and are working on all of them folks. There's a problem on some of the servers that are receiving the new files.
